SV 971

Compact and portable

Level 1 sound level meter and analyzer

Product Name: Level 1 Sound Level Meter and Analyzer

Product model: SV 971

Manufacturer: SVANTEK

SV 971 is an extremely compact and portable Level 1 sound level meter that complies with IEC 61672-1:2013 and GB/T 3785.1-2010. It has real-time 1/1 and 1/3 octave analysis, sound exposure, RT60 reverberation time, STIPA language clarity measurement, and more

SV 971 is an ideal choice for technical engineers and general acoustic noise measurement in industrial hygiene noise measurement, environmental noise measurement, building acoustics, acoustic consulting investigation, and handling noise issues.

Functional characteristics

Level 1 accuracy, wide measurement range

Equipped with a new microphone, the SV 971 has a total dynamic measurement range of 17 dBA Leq to 140 dBA peak, and has a level 1 accuracy in accordance with IEC 61672-1.

RT60 reverberation time measurement

The RT60 function in the instrument can quickly verify the results on site. The calculation of RT60 value is based on the recorded results of 1/1 or 1/3 octave.

Real-time frequency analysis

Frequency analysis is an important tool for acoustic measurement, and 1/1 octave analysis is commonly used in the selection of hearing protectors. The one-third octave function can be used to determine the impact of high or low frequencies on the overall value. SV 971A records the time history of the spectrum with millisecond accuracy.

Measurement of sound insulation

Smartphone applications can help users calculate sound insulation results based on ISO 16283. The sound insulation results are displayed on the display screen in a report format that meets ISO requirements. The project is saved together with the measurement file in the memory of the sound level meter.

Environmental noise measurement

A portable and compact Level 1 sound level meter that measures historical recording results such as Leq, Lmax, Lmin, Lpeak, LN, Ld, Ln, Ldn, SD, 1/1 or 1/3 octave, recording, etc.

STIPA Sound Reinforcement System Language Transmission Index

Recording and noise time history synchronization can be opened and played in PC software to identify noise sources. Recording can be triggered by setting a threshold or time.

Occupational noise measurement

The instrument is suitable for measuring work noise according to standards such as ISO 9612, OSHA, MSHA, and ACGIH, as well as selecting hearing protectors according to ISO 4869-2.

Time domain signal recording

Recording and noise time history synchronization can be opened in PC software for post processing of Wav file data. Recording can be triggered by setting a threshold or time.

Assistant APP Mobile Application Assistant

  • Supports Android and iOS platforms, easy to install and intuitive operation.
  • The user interface previews the results in the form of time history graphs and numerical values.
  • The APP alerts based on the exposure limit standards for noise and vibration exposure.
  • Obtain measurement results and generate reports based on noise and vibration measurement standards, which can be sent via email.
  • This app supports adding labels to the measurement time history, making it easy to identify noise or vibration events.

BA Assistant App Architectural Acoustics Mobile Application Assistant

  • The BA Assistant App supports Svantek sound level meters with wireless interfaces, such as SVAN 971977 and SVAN 979.
  • The BA Assistant App guides users through a sound insulation measurement program that complies with ISO 16283.
  • The sound insulation results are displayed on the display screen and displayed in a report format that meets ISO requirements.
  • Create a project during the measurement period that includes measurements from different sound source locations from both the sound source and the receiving room. The project and measurement files are saved together in the memory of the sound level meter.
  • The user interface allows for previewing results in the form of time history graphs and numerical values.
  • This application can add photos and sound annotations to measurement projects.

SvanPC++analysis software

It is an advanced PC software that supports SVANTEK measurement instruments, including the SV10x, SVAN95x, and SVAN97x series. This is an advanced application that enables various existing or extended functions, making each product easier to use.

In order to provide better services to users, SvanPC++software has been divided into several specialized modules with unique features, such as environmental monitoring, building acoustics, or remote communication.

The main module is free and provides functions such as downloading measurement data from the instrument to the PC, creating measurement settings, recalculating basic Leq/RMS, and displaying text measurement results in tables and graphics. The data can be exported to spreadsheets or text editors.
